Pastor Richard Valkanet has served as Senior Pastor of Living Waters Assembly of God since November 1991. Prior to serving here, Pastor Rich worked for seven years as a master machinist followed by nine years with the Niles Fire Department as a firefighter and paramedic. In 1981, Pastor Rich became the assistant director of Chicago Teen Challenge. He served in that capacity for four years. In 1985 Pastor Rich was asked to assume the role of Executive director of Teen Challenge, a role he held until 1992. A wide range of life and ministry experiences have allowed him to be a welcomed speaker at various church meetings, Bible colleges, seminars, and Full Gospel Businessmen’s meetings. Pastor Rich and his wife Pat have been married since 1969. They have two adult sons, Rich and Mark.
